Ysabeau is a range of organic Belgian wines currently being crafted at our estate, in Jenneret, just outside Durbuy

In May 2022, we planted 3 hectares of vines at Jenneret, in an exceptional terroir combining perfect exposure, a beautiful slope and stony soil. Our first bottles of Syrah, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Chenin and Viognier are scheduled for May 2026 ! We already thank you for your patience.

Our lyre trellising system vineyard

Syrah, Viognier, Pinot Noir: some of our grape varieties are imbued with the radiant sunshine of the Rhône valley or Burgundy. Yet, Belgium too is an ideal place for quality winegrowing. The winemaker simply has to be more imaginative.
To pamper these sun-loving grapes, Ysabeau’s vineyard has been designed around a structure that is as rare as it is exceptional: the Lyre.
In our vineyard, the vines don't grow straight up to form an ‘I’, but split above the trunk into two distinct branches to form a ‘Y’.
As a result, our vines grow more leaves and absorb much more sunlight. This means better ripening of the grapes, resulting in better quality wines.

Our estate and chai

Ysabeau’s chai is nestled in the heart of an exceptional 17th-century cultural heritage estate in Jenneret, a village infused with the typical charm of the Durbuy region.
With this enchanting setting as a backdrop, our chai was designed to combine traditional and modern winemaking techniques.
The height of the building has made it possible to create a gravity-fed structure on three levels, in line with the highest quality winemaking standards, while the half-buried foundation of this structure gives it a temperature regulation system that is ideally suited to the maturing of the wine.
