Our organic vineyard in Belgium

Ysabeau’s story

To create wines is to give personality and character to the fruit of one's terroir.
In Jenneret, the strongest personality is undoubtedly Isabeau Madame, convicted of witchcraft in the 17th century on the village square, not far from the chai.
Far from the wicked witches of children's tales, witches of that time were frowned upon for daring to live off their understanding of nature and off the beaten track, without children and sometimes without husbands. Today, we would simply speak of them as liberated and daring women.
So “Ysabeau” is more than just a name, it's a gamble, a commitment to work with the best that nature has to offer, and to question old practices.

Visit our chai

As an ancient barn characteristic of the Durbuy region, our chai combines heritage and modernity. Walls of Condroz blue stone, ancestral frameworks and the steel of the latest generation of winemaking tools combine to give this building an authentic charm.
With its three floors, this building offers the perfect environment to craft your future wine with all the care and attention it deserves, thanks to gravity. Once pressed on the second floor, the grape juice flows to the first floor, where it becomes wine. After a while, the wine continues its natural flow to the ground floor, where it is matured in the best possible conditions, gently and quietly.
If you'd like to come and see for yourself, please don't hesitate to contact us, we'd be delighted to welcome you.

The organic label

The quality of a wine depends primarily on the respect for its terroir, the harmony between the soil and the grapes. From this philosophy stems our conviction to do our utmost to protect nature. Right from the start, we embarked on a project to obtain an organic viticulture label, which will be completed in 2026.
